Who are you? Strangers always asked that and the one being asked normally thinks "What kind of question is that?". Of course, everyone knows themselves inside and out but when they look closely inside them, they may find it difficult to identify certain traits or characteristics. I know who I am physically and mentally. Philosophy classes are helping me figure out my purpose for life or, my spiritual side. You asked "who am I?" and so I tell you. I was born in Madrid, Spain on May 31, 1990 together with my three other siblings. At the age of two, we moved to the Philippines where my two youngest siblings were born. I started kindergarten in Rosemont and graduated to Woodrose. Like all little girls, I dreamed of being a ballet dancer so I took lessons in Ecole de Ballet until I was grade 7. When I was 9 (grade 4), my sisters started soccer and realized how fun it was so I was forced to play as well. When I was grade 6, I started playing softball for ILLAM with my younger sister. That summer, we also started horse-back riding lessons and volleyball. I also took jazz right after grade 7 in the Alabang Country Club. These are what made me, me. This is my past.

As of now, I still play soccer but I am now part of the Woodrose Soccer Varsity. I also train with MPLFA and the RP team in Ultra. I still play softball with ILLAM but I no longer ride and play volleyball. I dance neither ballet nor jazz but cheer dancing for the school (too hectic, too much stuff to do).

Even though I do not do these activities consistently, I still play/dance them during our family activities. I come from a big family. As of July 7, 2006, we are 23 first cousins from my mom’s side alone. For the same side, we only have Family Reunions every 4 or 5 years since the kids alone count up to 200+ members. In these Reunions, we always have games, dances and other presentations (which are much more fun than Woodrose Intrams). Asides from the fact that we such a big number, we are all divided into different countries and it is very difficult to gather everyone together. Around 1/4th live in America, 1/4th in Spain, 1/4th in Australia and the last quarter here in the Philippines.

These are what makes me, me. If I am not playing soccer, softball, or any other sport and if I’m not studying, I am bumming. I like reading books but only during the summer. This is because once I get into a good book, I will not stop reading. If I read during the school year, I will end up flunking all my tests. What else is there about me? Oh, I cannot speak straight Tagalog. Well, maybe I can sometimes but I’m not very good at it and I find it ULTRA hard! There is a reason behind this and I shall tell the story… It started when I was grade 5. At that time, I was learning new words in Tagalog but then, I went to Spain for 3 months. While I was in Spain, I didn’t speak Tagalog at all and I was relearning my Spanish. By the time I got back to the Philippines, I had lost my Tagalog and had to learn it again. But it didn’t end there. In grade 7, when I got my Tagalog flowing again, I went back to Spain and studied there for 2 months. When I arrived home, I was entering high school and the words were much harder and seemed to be much more advanced than what I knew. And so for that reason, I lost my good Tagalog-speaking skills.

Wow, I really made kwento! Haha... Well, that's who I am. It's still incomplete but I can't put more. As I said in the start, when you look at yourself, it's hard to distinguish certain characteristics you have. I can't put everything in words so I shall end this blog here.

*to whomever reads this, do not laugh. Thank you.:D
